About Us

Elaine Youngs is the owner, and her training is in family practice medicine and osteopathic medicine. She has a long time interest in providing an exercise training venue with facilities for all ranges of aptitude and fitness.  Elaine founded the Waikanae Osteopathic Clinic in 1990 and previously worked from home which was then in Te Horo Beach.  She did her osteopathic training at the Osteopathic College of New Zealand and graduated in 1989.  She trained in Family practice medicine at Yale University and worked for three years in California as a physician associate before moving to New Zealand.  She is registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand.  She uses a gentle style of osteopathic technique and also welcomes infants into her practice for osteopathy in the cranial field.
